I was talking to my girlfriend and she really likes to have an IPhone… so I was thinking, why not prolong my contract and get an IPhone 4 and give the IPhone 3GS to her?
Well, some problems there:
1st: The Iphone is not available till late September, ok, assume we’ll wait
2nd: I want to get some additional contract for my 3GS, a Partner-Card from the Telecom. There are actually pretty cheap ones with 100% flaterate etc. Guess what: these are not available for Iphone users. I’m not sure, this is true, but I talked to the hotline the other day and they told me, they can actually tell, when you are using an IPhone with a contract that does not allow IPhones and would charge for it.
I really doubt that and think we’d go for the cheaper ones with the risk of being charged, but maybe some of you out there would know, whether this would really be possible or be done?
Technically, this should be possible. There is the IMEI-Number which contains at least a manufacturer key, and as Apple does only produce one iPhones….
Actually, if this is too expensive, I’ll get some contract somewhere else… But then I’d have to jailbreak / unlock…
